After you receive care in the Emergency Department, you will receive more than one bill for your care:
Your Emergency Department Bill
You will be receiving separate bills for the services you received in the Emergency Department. The total cost of your care consists of services provided by the hospital – MultiCare Health Systems, the Emergency Physician Group – Spokane Emergency Care Physicians, Inc. P.S., and any other Professional Services required during your course of treatment.
About your Spokane Emergency Care Physicians bill
This bill is for services rendered by the Emergency Physicians, Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioners. The Emergency Physicians, Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioners are providers who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries. The Emergency Providers are responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, referral and/or discharge of all patients receiving care in the Emergency Department.

About your MultiCare Health System / Professional Services bill
This bill is for services rendered by the Hospital, it will be for use of the nursing services, supplies, equipment, laboratory, radiology services and any other professional services that are provided by the hospital.
